Page to Markdown works locally in your browser.
- No account is required.
- No analytics, advertising, tracking, or sale of user data is used.
- The extension has no server, AI API, cloud sync, or runtime network requests.
- Page conversion happens locally after you explicitly request it. The extension has website access so its persistent right sidebar can convert the currently active ordinary webpage after tab switches.
- Generated Markdown is kept in memory only long enough to copy or download it.
- Converted page content, page HTML, page selections, and page URLs are not stored.
- The extension does not keep a page history, download history, identity data, or analytics events.
- Only extension settings are stored in
chrome.storage.local. - Removing the extension removes extension-local data according to Chrome’s normal extension-data behavior.
How your content is handled
Page to Markdown processes the webpage or selection you explicitly choose to convert. It does not transmit that content to StarterBuild or a third party.
